Follow Focus - Under 5 Bucks

I found an article online about a DIY follow focus for the 5d.   I took the idea and made some improvements.

I made a trip to home depot today and found the supplies.

I used a self tightening ring found in the plumbing isle.  I grabed a few sizes, the largest size works best with the L series lenses.  I headed to the nuts and bolts isle and grabbed a 4" Eye Bolt with a few nuts to tighten.  I used a high density foam tape as a protective shield on the inside of the metal ring to prevent over tightening.

At home, i took some metal clippers and cut open two of the notches in the metal ring for the bolt to fit in.

I used some metal super glow in the inside of the bolts to prevent loosening.
