I Survived Gary Indiana - Gorila Shoot

Today we filmed in Gary, Indiana.  We wanted to document the deconstruction of the city in a way that glamorized its ruins.  In order to capture this vision, we scouted the town for a few hours both looking for 2 perfect location along with surveying the streets to avoid any trouble.  Our First location was off the main street in a destroyed factory,  we could not figure out how this building came to it's demise.  The old factory seemed to be destroyed by mother nature, but we could not be sure.  The 2nd location was right off the main street, lucky enough it was near the Gary Police Station.  We were told by a Security guard at the entrance to the steel factory that the police try to keep to themselves because when they are on patrol, they find themselves to be the main shooting target.  This was clearly information that did not improve our confidence in a city that already seemed over run by the people.
